La Troupe du Pavé presents a play recounting the highlights of Gisèle Halimi's 1972 Bobigny trial, which led to the decriminalization of abortion and Simone Veil's abortion law three years later.
Created in 2019, the Troupe du Pavé has two objectives: to perform plays and to raise funds for the fight against violence against women. To date, CIDFF 17 has received more than 15,000 euros from the Troupe du Pavé, which has financed various prevention initiatives, training courses for women victims and legal aid.

The Troupe du Pavé returns this year with a dozen actors and actresses to (re)discover "Le Procès de Bobigny", an adaptation by Basile Ader, based on the stenotype of the proceedings at the time (1972).

Come and relive the testimonies and pleadings that overturned the law banning abortion and paved the way for Simone Veil's 1975 abortion law.

Discover the key moments of this trial, for which lawyer Gisèle Halimi brought to the stand personalities such as Simone de Beauvoir, Françoise Fabian and Michel Rocard... all of whom had a single ambition: to defend women's rights!

All profits go to the fight against violence against women.
