Theater - Adieu Monsieur Haffmann

Paris, 1942. Jews are required to wear a yellow star. On the verge of bankruptcy, Joseph Haffmann, a Jewish jeweler, offers his employee, Pierre Vigneau, his jewelry shop if he agrees to hide him until the situation improves. Will Pierre take the risk of smuggling his "former" boss into the store? And if so, on what terms?

Winner of a Molière award in 2018, the play skilfully blends intimate intrigue with the turmoil of an era, using the small story to tell the big one. Playwright Jean-Philippe Daguerre injects just the right amount of humor and tenderness into a story that holds together from start to finish, ending with an anthology scene that's both cruel and hilarious.
