Screening and conference - Campagne Sauvage
Muséum d'histoire naturelle - 28 rue Albert 1er
17000 - La Rochelle
Screening of the short film Enjeu de Taille. Le frêne du Marais Poitevin (23min) by Marc Ollivier, wildlife photographer and author of the Campagnes Sauvages exhibition, followed by a talk by the director.
Many of France's natural spaces have been shaped by the hand of man. In the Marais Poitevin, canals, meadows and rows of trees are just some of the components of a carefully considered landscape. Among the trees of the marsh, the ash is the emblem. It is omnipresent, and many species make it their home. A tree in the image of its territory, shaped by man, within which biodiversity finds its place. But the ash is under threat. What can we do about its future decline? The screening will be followed by a discussion with the film-maker to find out how wildlife interacts with today's agricultural landscapes.
