On the occasion of the commemoration of the memories of the slave trade, slavery and their abolition, the City of La Rochelle is coordinating a program intended for all audiences during the month of May.
The City of La Rochelle is a founding member of the Fondation pour la Mémoire de l'esclavage, along with 21 other metropolitan and overseas local authorities in the Conseil des Territoires.
As part of the Month of Remembrance, a number of events are planned, including open stages, exhibitions, screenings, meetings and conferences.
