Guided tour - Journées Européennes du Patrimoine à la Villa Fort Louis

The tour presents the history of the Villa Fort Louis, from the origins of its name (back in the 17th century) to its construction and occupation by the Delmas family (19th century), its architecture, its geographical location, the various occupants after the building was bought by the City of La Rochelle, and ends with the role and activities of the Maison des Ecritures today. When an exhibition is on display, we also offer guided tours.
