Exhibition - Tisser le présent : réalités intimes et fictions politiques

For Irina Prentice, the practice of drawing, collage and writing is a daily activity, necessary and inseparable from the passage of time, to connect personal emotions and sensations with the maelstrom of the outside world. Recently, and for several months now, she has been developing compositions based on a shared dialogue with the writer and poet Hyam Yared, whom she met during her eight-year stay in Lebanon. Her work resonates with Hyam's poetic research into social and political conflicts, as well as the intimate relationship with the chaos of the world, in the context of the reappearance of her collection Du feu autour de l'œil (Mémoire d'encrier). The first part of this collection was exhibited in France, at Le Cent 8 gallery in Nogent-Le-Rotrou, in April 2024.
