THE SEA,

It was my dream to be in contact with it every day...
When I was looking for an inspiring place to set up a photographic project, one place stood out for me:

THE FISHING PORT OF LA ROCHELLE

This space is a refuge from the raging sea, where you can unload your catch, clean your nets and store your equipment.
Everything is within easy reach.
That's why I wanted to show what characterizes it, both the fishermen's mounts, the birds that accompany them and, more closely, what the fishermen use in their work.
A series in dark tones with a few old-fashioned colors to show the difficulties these men face in their work.
And a brightly colored series depicting their huts, which hold their riches, a sign of hope for a good return of the tide.
