Exhibition - Climat Océan
Musée Maritime - Place Bernard Moitessier
17000 - La Rochelle
A fresh look, with new features, offers a second version of the exhibition, bringing it as close as possible to the scientific data and actions carried out in the region as part of the Territoire zéro carbone d'ici 2040 program.
La Rochelle has always had an intimate relationship with the ocean. It is a major player in the earth's climate system, and the hope of mitigating the disruptions to which the planet is subject. Seven themes have been chosen and are treated with a dual didactic and sensitive approach.

An immersive journey
The ocean is a global and continuous ecosystem in its own right. Together with the atmosphere, it forms a climate-regulating couple, redistributing heat and capturing carbon dioxide, which it recycles or sequesters in its depths. It has been stable since the Holocene, but human activity over the past 150 years has had an impact on the blue planet's largest biosphere. This immersive exhibition offers a better understanding of the ocean, its major role in life on earth and its impact on climate.
