The café littéraire is an ephemeral place of encounter and exchange, where readers can become more involved through the confrontation of ideas and controversy. It places them in a form of reading that develops their sensitivity and enables them to transform their relationship with the world, with themselves and with others. Each participant is encouraged to question his or her own reading style, reactivating literary references and putting beliefs to the test.
