ON THE PROGRAM
- from 2pm to 7pm, a journey along the Old Port: whether Breton, Indian, African, urban, traditional or contemporary, dance will be celebrated and honored along the way. With associations, the conservatory, professional artists and choreographers, and amateur groups.
- From 8pm to midnight, a closing party at Mille Plateaux in partnership with La Sirène: the chapel and courtyard of the Collège Fromentin will be the setting for a Basque ball by Collectif Bilaka, followed by a dancefloor.

1 km de danse is organized by Mille Plateaux, CCN La Rochelle in partnership with the city of La Rochelle and La Sirène, with the support of Léa nature.
Conceived by the CND Centre national de la danse in Pantin, and supported by the French Ministry of Culture, the event will be rolled out in 10 cities by 2025. It is supported by the European Art Explora Prize - Académie des beaux-arts.
