Exhibition - Jumbo Tron

With this installation, Stella Jacob questions the logic of self-staging and the role of technology in our relationship to the image.
Inspired by the giant screens that capture the public at events, she hijacks their function to explore our fascination with digital transformations of reality. For 15 seconds, the image is hacked, identity altered.
This fleeting moment, at the crossroads of play and performance, places the public at the center of the device, where they become unwilling actors.
This short, festive and unexpected moment of exposure plays with the excitement of looking at oneself, like a spontaneous version of the 15 minutes of fame.
