Assises de l’économie de la mer

With a record 1,800 participants in Nantes in 2023, the Assises de l'économie de la mer once again confirms its status as the leading annual event for the French maritime community. This recognition and success has grown steadily since 2005, the year the "Assises" were born.


Over the course of the nineteen previous editions of this major maritime event, two Presidents of the Republic (including Emmanuel Macron for the 2019, 2021 and 2023 editions), four Prime Ministers, one President of the French National Assembly and some thirty ministers have presented their vision of the economy of the sea to French decision-makers from the public and private sectors.


The event brings together experts, professionals, political decision-makers and representatives of local authorities to discuss, debate and shape the future of the maritime economy. But the "Assises" are more than just a forum for debate and concept development. The networking dimension is an integral part of the event's DNA.
