Exhibition - Nudibranches des Pertuis
Capitainerie (salon des plaisanciers) - Avenue Antoine Albeau
17000 - La Rochelle
An exhibition has been created by the LIENSs laboratory at the University of La Rochelle. Presented last September at the Assises Nationales de la Biodiversité, the marina is pleased to offer it at the harbor master's office.
An opportunity to highlight the incredible beauty of these little-known molluscs on our coasts, and the different ways in which everyone can contribute to this inventory.

A conference on the Nudibranches project will also be held on December 4 at 5pm at the Natural History Museum in La Rochelle.

The Nudibranches Project: a unique program
The Nudibranches project is a participatory science program run by the Environment and Underwater Biology Commission of the Charente-Maritime Committee of the FFESSM (Fédération Française d'études et de Sports Sous-Marins). Numerous partners contribute to the program, including the Parc marin de l'estuaire de la Gironde et la mer des Pertuis, the Université de La Rochelle, the Muséum d'Histoire Naturelle de La Rochelle and other regional partners.

This three-year program began in spring 2024 and covers the entire Parc Naturel Marin de l'Estuaire de la Gironde et de la mer des Pertuis. Its aim is to take stock of the molluscs and, more specifically, the nudibranchs present in the Pertuis Charentais.

The aim is also to update an initial inventory of nudibranchs carried out 50 years ago by scientists Philippe Bouchet and Jean Tardy, at a time when fewer than 10 scientists worldwide were studying them!
