Exhibition - Les Jeux Olympiques

The modern Olympic Games continue the tradition of the ancient Greek Olympic Games. They were created by the French baron Pierre de Coubertin, historian and educator, who was convinced that they would contribute to peace between nations.
In a speech he gave on the values of Olympism, Pierre de Coubertin uttered the following words:

"The important thing is to participate".
In the Plastic Arts workshop at Rochefort prison, we have made Pierre de Coubertin's words our own. It doesn't matter how experienced you are in the art world. "The important thing is to participate", to express on canvas what the words Olympic Games resonate within us, and to represent it figuratively or abstractly.
