The Cercle Nautique de La Rochelle (CNLR) sailing club, in partnership with the Port of La Rochelle, has created an exhibition paying tribute to the Cap Horniers of La Rochelle.
This project followed Yannick Bestaven's victory in the Vendée Globe in 2021.

This exhibition, comprising 15 sailor panels and 2 panels devoted to Cape Horn, highlights 15 emblematic figures, children of La Rochelle or adopted by this maritime city, who wrote their history on the waves of the Pacific and Atlantic before tackling the dreaded Cape Horn. These navigators, famous for their daring and passion, embody the spirit of adventure and discovery: Pierre Follenfant, Gérard Janichon, Karen Leibovici, Jules Mazars, Richard Mérigeaux, Thierry Normand, Benoît Parnaudeau, Dominique Wavre, Yves Dupasquier, Xavier Dagault, Laurent Cordelle, Thomas Bourhis, Yannick Bestaven, Jean-Yves Bernot, Isabelle Autissier.

A flash code gives access to the interview we conducted with each sailor. The latest is with Thomas Bouhris, Cap Hornier in 2024 at the age of 20.
