Dance - POUCE ! - Rites de passage

Noting that in our society there are no longer any rites of passage for this powerful threshold between adolescence and adulthood, the choreographer wanted to address these young people directly, and propose a ceremonial that would also bridge the gap between traditional and contemporary cultures. A ritual for a young performer - Janice Bieleu, well-versed in urban dance - who, close to the audience, starts with a dribble, soccer ball at her feet, and moves into a trance... The music, outfits and finery that follow one another like so many moults infuse these Rites of Passage with a joyful, generous energy.
