Andalusia is a region of Spain, one of the country's seventeen autonomous
autonomous communities. It is bordered to the north by the Autonomous Community of Castile,
the autonomous community of Murcia to the east, the Mediterranean Sea to the south,
Atlantic Ocean and Gibraltar to the south, and Portugal to the west.
Located in the south of the Iberian Peninsula, Andalusia, the cradle of flamenco, offers a journey
to the heart of Spain's great traditions. Flooded with sunshine almost all year round,
Andalusia has retained all the charm of a rich, mixed heritage.
The Moorish influence has left sumptuous vestiges such as the Alhambra in Granada
or the Great Mosque of Cordoba, and exceptional natural sites such as the Sierra Nevada
Nevada and Donaña Park. Authentic, multicultural and mystical, it is imbued with the fervor
of Holy Week and the popular effervescence of Seville's ferias.
