In a 6-day course, learn or improve your sailing skills in a fun, warm and friendly atmosphere. We only take a maximum of 5 students.
We have chosen a coastal cruising program equally suited to beginners and advanced sailors. So that Fabienne can devote her time to each participant at his or her own pace and level, there will never be more than 5 participants aboard Kirikou (sailing boat approved for 7).
To each his own learning pace: Fabienne, your supervisor, is always ready to listen to your wishes and limitations, and will make it a point of honor to welcome you, teach you, calm you and be patient with you. She will be delighted to answer any questions you may have.
Departing from La Rochelle's old harbor on Monday at around 9:30 a.m. (although you may, if you wish, spend the previous night on board), your course will begin with a day of mooring and getting to know the boat and the other members of the group on a sheltered stretch of water. This will be followed by stopovers on the way to Ile d'Yeu (weather permitting), during which you'll learn about safety, ship handling, sail trim, weather, buoyage, cartography, tidal calculations, determining the current, finding your way when arriving at night, managing life on board, etc.
During the cruise, we'll call at a different port each evening. It will end in La Rochelle on Saturday afternoon, after the yacht has been tidied and cleaned (by the whole crew, who also share the various tasks on board: provisioning, meals, etc.). You'll disembark with your head full of good memories and a strong desire to repeat the experience.
