Plage du Platin

South of La Rochelle, in the commune of Aytré, Plage du Platin is a 1.7 km long sandy beach bordered by small dunes. It stretches as far as Angoulins, between the Pointes du Roux and the Pointes du Chay. You can also enjoy a stroll along the coast, punctuated by fishing carrelets.

Please note that swimming is prohibited on this beach due to pollution.

This beach is also popular with kite-surfers and windsurfers (but beware of the oyster beds offshore).

Shacks offer snacks, drinks and ice creams in season.
Numerous events in July and August as part of Aytré Plage Bouge l'Été.
